Obvious Hanzel & Gretel inspired work. Seriously one of my favourite fairy tales since ever.
I don't like how their hair came out-- frankly because I haven't finalized her official colours yet, and Eurgene's brown is too intense. Arkon's the name of the main city of the story.
I lost the uncropped version ;w; Oh woe. To be editted: hands, Eurgene's eyes, and that bit in El's hair that bugs me.
Lovely, Rai. (Especially the blood going down her arm.) <3 Honestly? the witch is attractive I am lost for words. Your art is amazinggg~ I can't stop staring.
Another rendition of my chara El. I was experimenting on 'tentacley' hair as opposed to just 'swirly' and it turned out fairly well. Not bad for someone who only wants the best for her brother, even if it means sitting him on a boiling cauldron plucking his ear out while nibbling one of his eyes' nerves 8B okaypretendIdidn'tsaythat.
And pshaw, flatterer XD

you have truly numbed me to mild gore. >> you stole my fleeting young, innocent youthful days!!
anyway, a long-ish comment because you asked me oh so subtly for one (well, you asked for a comment anyway). 8D andalsobecauseyouwentofflinewithouttellingmeagain
You are right about Eurgene's hair. The colour's too "deep". It doesn't go with the flow of the picture too well because everything's so "dull-ish-ly" coloured.
The blood around El's eyes are too deep too, especially next to her pale skin and "dull" coloured hair.
El's hair is a paradox to describe for me. xD It's dull, but too shiny at the same time! I don't think she uses such great shampoo... You should adjust the shininess so that it's not so shiny. I know you like colouring hair, but I think you focused too much on them as well. xD;; I dont think the hair is meant to be the focus of the picture.... Are they?
You might also want to tweak the shading of her forehead and hair around the hat. The shading isn't following the shape of hat's shadow, if you know what I mean. Like, it's too "angular" when it should be "rounder".
Some parts of the shading remind me too much of your MS Paint works. As in, they're too "pixelly" than smooth. Like, the top part of her hat and the green-yellow bottle next to the right on the right (our right). You should smooth them out, so they dont stick out more then they should. The stew is fine though. But the middle-to-left (our left) is a bit too "flowy". Make it more "sticky" (again, if that even makes sense...).
Make that girl's hair (the one in the pot) more drippy! She's too dry for someone being stewed. 8D That hand that's sticking out too.
And the background. Lol. You got lazy. xD I can tell. /3 The fire too. xD If I still have them, I could pass you some really good PS fire brushes if you want.
Ok, enough with colours. xD -is a colour freak-
El's right hand bothers me. I don't think it's possible to hold an apple and a ear (an ear sounds wrong here, would you agree?). I can't even hold anything else if I'm holding an apple! And my hands are quite big. x:
And the eye she's eating. It's too thin at her mouth. xD I know muscles can be quite elastic, but I think that's stretching it. xD Especially since the eyeball's HUGE! The eyeball is going to fall into the pot of stew~
The background. Lol. Lazy. xDDD Fix the bottles! Or replace them with that bottle you made for your freebies. LOL.
Ok, I lied. I must talk about the colours again.
The shading in El's dress where Eurgene's pressed against her. Moar shading! (yes, can't you sense the amount of seriousness I had in the beginning?)
And the skirt at the pot. Moar shading too!
Don't you find it strange, the El's sleeves have this green ting, but her skirt/dress doesn't? I do. Add moar green! And the tips of her hair too! Even great hair cant escape from the glow of green light!
The blood spewing from Eurgene's ear has this red streak that looks too bright and too much like tomato sauce. I know it's fresh blood and everything, but I think that's a little -too- fresh. And blood cant escape the horror of dark lighting too!
This picture needs more GREEN.
And the pointy stuff (like the green in the background) should be more round.
And Im out of things to comment on. I'll be taking my mentos nao.
I'll reply to your lengthy comment tomor--er, this afternoon. As expected, he never keeps his promises about using the compyu for a while; I stayed up all night waiting to be able to reply to you but alas, you were gone by 5 am~
